Special Support for Chinese Companies ¨C China Competence Center D¨¹sseldorf
The City of D¨¹sseldorf - Office of Economic Development supports companies situated in the D¨¹sseldorf region and promotes the location D¨¹sseldorf internationally. Especially Chinese companies and investors are warmly welcome to investing in D¨¹sseldorf. The China-Competence Center , a special task force of the city government, focuses on Chinese investors only. It is designed as a one stop agency to help Chinese investors and companies to enter the European market by offering various information and services. Interested Chinese can obtain free information about D¨¹sseldorf in Chinese language, for example about market structures, location profiles, official matters and many more. In addition to this Start-Up help, that includes also a monetary ¡°Welcome Package¡±, the China-Competence Center maintains a flourishing network of Chinese and European business partners. In regular meetings, seminars and conferences, there is always the opportunity to get to know new partners, service providers and customers!

The department of Polytronic Systems at Fraunhofer IZM specializes in the functional integration of components from electronics, fluidics and optics in high-throughput manufacturing processes. Main workhorse is the roll-to-roll flexible integration and manufacturing technology. Fields of activity range from process development for polymer manufacturing and flexible electronics to the development of complete automated analysis systems for life science applications.
The activities in the field of life sciences specifically focus on the employment of microsystems and MEMS technologies and their inclusion into functional analysis systems. Special emphasis is put on the development of mobile and robust sensors and sensor systems that are easy to use and are able to fulfil the tasks of classical chemical analytics and medical diagnostics. This allows to address applications beyond the laboratory and inaccessible to laboratory-based analysis, like point-of-care diagnostics, bio process engineering and monitoring, monitoring of food and water quality, tracing of drugs and the integration of sensors in household appliances and automobiles. |
