Chinese-German High-Tech Forum Microsystems for Health opened in Chongqing today
Chinese-German High-Tech Forum Microsystems for Health, jointly organized by German Federal Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, PRC Ministry of Science and Technology, and the two municipal governments of D¨¹sseldorf and Chongqing , was opened at Chongqing Convention & Exhibition Center today.
A powerful lineup of about 20 governmental officials, experts and entrepreneurs from both Germany and China delivered key-note speeches at the forum, not only discussing and communicating the applications and business opportunities of Microsystems and other high technologies in healthcare industry in both countries, but also making a milestone review and summary for the three sino-Germany medical Microsystems cooperation projects that three companies in Chongqing take part in. An outlook for further in-depth cooperation in the future between the two nations has also been made at the forum.
This high-caliber international forum, clear in theme and compact in agenda, was well-received and packed with audience. According to the forum's undertaker Messe D¨¹sseldorf China Ltd, a strict audience pre-registration system has been adopted for the forum in order to ensure the high quality of audience. But even after the deadline for registration last week, quite a number of audience called for enquiry and registration. On the first day of the forum, some local companies in Chongqing sent many of their employees by special vehicles to attend the forum. Among the about 200 professional audience on the site, 90% are professionals from local scientific research institutes, medical appliances manufacturers and trading companies, and major hospitals in Chongqing, while the rest 10% are from outside Chongqing and even from Hong Kong, Egypt, etc.
Mr. Xie Xioajun, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing Municipality, attended the forum and stated in his welcome address three significances for holding the forum: first, it symbolizes the substantial step forward for the friendly relationship between the two municipalities of Chongqing and D¨¹sseldorf ; second, it helps Chongqing's Microsystems industry of outstanding advantages to widen its access to the world seeking more extensive R&D cooperation and business opportunities; last but not least, the forum is expected to push forward the renovation of medical technologies to benefit the people at the earliest day possible.
Leader from the Ministry of Science and Technology who attended the forum stressed on his wish in his speech that the forum could help improve the technological innovation level of the two countries in the real sense, advance the development of scientific research institutes of the two countries, and accelerate the industrialization process of some world-advanced and rather mature scientific research achievements.
According to Dr. Gerhard Finking from Microsystems Section of High and New Tech Research Department under German Federal Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, German MC of the forum, if any audience is interested in the scientific research results or projects introduced by any of the speakers, he or she can make appointment on the spot with the corresponding speaker for face-to-face in-depth discussion on possible bilateral cooperation on the following day.
